ERIK HÅRDSTEDT : 3 DECENNIER I STRECK. Born 1979 in Borås, Sweden. Lives and works in Uddebo.
GALLERI REVOLT presents an intense artistic journey with Erik Hårdstedt, showcasing his drawings spanning over three decades.
Erik is an artist who does not follow the traditional path, instead allowing his travels – both physical and inner – to be his greatest inspiration. During his years in India and other parts of the world, he has captured people in all kinds of situations: in bars, on buses, on beaches, in gardens, and more. Even everyday life at home has resulted in a multitude of works over the years. His drawings are as much a depiction of the world around him as they are a reflection of his own inner journey.
With the use of mostly ink, charcoal, and pencil, Hårdstedt captures the moment with a sense of both freedom and control. His work is raw and genuine, often boundless, always alive. Every line has purpose, and each detailed figure carries its own story. His work is an expression of real life – not the polished or idealized, but that which is direct and unfiltered.
This exhibition is a journey through an artist’s life, a reflection of what happens when you live with and in the world, rather than just observing it. Welcome to an art experience that challenges, touches, and reminds us of the beauty in the unfinished.
Erik Hårdstedt, born in 1979 in Borås, now resides in Uddebo. He studied at S:t Sigfrid’s Folk High School’s art program and at Gothenburg Art School. He has had numerous solo and group exhibitions and is represented in collections such as the Nordic Watercolor Museum, the Swedish Arts Grants Committee, and Borås Art Museum.
